Grow your own healthy herbs at home.

Learn how to construct a herb garden. Size doesn’t matter when it comes to a herb garden - small can be awesome!

Herbs have many uses both culinary and medicinal - and come from all corners of the globe.  But how do you grow them at home and provide the necessary conditions for them to thrive here in Perth?

Come along and learn what herbs you can group together, what their ideal growing conditions are, and how to utilise their unique qualities in companion planting (for example).

While herbs can be grown alongside any other plants in your garden, they provide their best display when given their own section.

No matter how much room you've got to plant herbs - planning the space will give you the best results.  If only a few different types of herbs are required for cooking, these can be grown in any corner of your garden

You will learn the different types of herb gardens and how to use herbs in your existing landscape.  We'll briefly touch on uses for some common herbs and you'll go away confident to grow and enjoy your own fresh and healthy herbs in your own garden.

Take home info sheets will be supplied but bring along a pen to take extra notes.

About the Presenter:

The workshop will be run by Leesa Caldwell from The Greenhouse Organic. For those of you who don't know Leesa, she grows a range of Certified Organic vegetable and flower seedlings which for years we've sold @ Green Life.  She packages organic seeds, microgreen seeds and blends herbal teas for the retail market.

She recently completed her studies in Western Herbalism and is now seeing clients to help them with their health issues.

Leesa has extensive experience in growing vegetables, herbs, microgreens and edible flowers for both wholesale and retail markets.  She has been presenting workshops @ Green Life and at other venues for several years, and her passion for growing healthy and health-giving plants is infectious.
