Aquaponics is a system of producing fish to eat in your backyard, using vegies and plants to clean the water (feeding them with the fish poo), and can be highly productive and efficient when well designed and maintained. The Permaculture Education business run by Dr. Ross Mars. Ross holds regular Permaculture training courses, and is a Permaculture consultant.
Sustainable Alternatives is situated in the Eastern Hills Region of Perth. Run by Bernie Elsner, the business offers Permaculture consultation/design, garden design, workshops and more.
A series of free workshops held around Perth dealing with all the issues of how to ‘green up’ your lifestyle! Great information and challenging.
The Organic Growers Association of WA
A not for profit association with commercial and home gardener members. Has a member discount scheme. Local groups have regular meetings to share knowledge.

The Department of Agriculture has some great online information on common WA pests & diseases, and fantastic downloadable garden fact sheets. Not an organic approach, but great to help ID pests & diseases.
